Greater Owensboro Economic Development Recognition Highlights the Work Behind the Growth
Published March 2026
When recognition comes from the Greater Owensboro Economic Development Corporation, it carries weight. It reflects results, not just effort.
That’s what this moment represents as Daylin Tolgo and Nicole Faris are recognized for their work at Visit Owensboro.
Daylin serves as Director of Marketing and Services, helping lead major initiatives like Burger Week, BBQ & Barrels, and continued growth in the film space. Her path—from Kentucky Wesleyan student-athlete to intern to a key leader—shows what consistency and execution can build over time.
Nicole recently stepped into her role as Operations and Project Manager, bringing structure and focus to the work that keeps projects moving. Her background and perspective strengthen a team built on delivering results.
We also recognize Teresa Jones, who continues to play an important role as Destination Account Executive, supporting partners and helping move the work forward every day.
“This recognition reflects the kind of work that drives a destination forward,” said Mark Calitri, President of Visit Owensboro. “It takes people who step up, stay focused, and deliver. That’s what you’re seeing here.”
“Their hustle, effort, and commitment to making better things happen is what sets the tone,” Calitri added. “That kind of work builds momentum you can feel across a community.”
Tourism is a results business. Events have to perform. Visitors have to show up. Communities have to feel the impact.
What’s happening in Owensboro right now is not by chance. Events are growing. Partnerships are expanding. More people are choosing to be here.
This recognition reflects the people behind that progress.
And it shows where this community is headed.
