The second-oldest park in the city, Legion Park is a 23.75 acre community park located on E Byers Avenue between J.R. Miller Boulevard and Veach Avenue. The park features a paved 0.5 mile walking path, encircling:
– Three picnic shelters (one open aired and two screened)
– Restroom facilities
– Two basketball courts
– A street soccer court (open 24/7)
– Spray Park: opens on Memorial Day and runs through Labor Day weekend. The Spray Park offers a zero-depth safe water play area that features a bright red serpent and a green and yellow daisy fountain, and sixteen ground sprays.
