Dueling Pianos and Horses (WKBG)
Ready to trade an ordinary night for an evening of dueling pianos and garden strolls? Join the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden on October 22 from 6-9 PM for the return of its Beer Garden, presented with support from Owensboro Racing & Gaming and the Baird Hobgood Edge Group. Guests can enjoy bar service from Brew Bridge, food from Owensboro Racing & Gaming and the Mangkok Filipino food truck, and live entertainment from Dueling Pianos at the Vora Gazebo. For the first time, horse-and-carriage rides around the botanical garden will also be available, adding a special touch to the evening. Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for garden members and ORG Fast Track members. The Big O Halloween Party
Looking for a frightfully fun night out in Owensboro? Get your costume ready and head to The Big O Halloween Party at the Owensboro Convention Center on October 23 at 7:30 PM for an evening of spooky fun, live entertainment, and Halloween surprises. Dance along to music from DJ Squatch and U-Turn, show off your costume in the costume contest, and see who can best channel the King of Pop in the Michael Jackson impersonator contest. Opening Night Halloween Classics
Who says Halloween thrills are only found on the big screen? Head to the RiverPark Center on October 24 at 7 PM for an unforgettable evening of orchestral music, movie favorites, and Halloween-inspired spectacles. Celebrate Music Director Troy Quinn’s 10th season with a thrilling program featuring selections from The Witches of Eastwick, Vertigo, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and The Phantom of the Opera. Special guest Chad Benefield will take center stage for a monstrous musical mashup, bringing even more excitement to the evening. The concert concludes with Richard Strauss’s powerful orchestral work Death and Transfiguration, creating a dramatic finish to a night full of mystery, suspense, and spectacular music.
