Sound of Bluegrass – Matt Leadbetter

The son of legendary dobro master Phil Leadbetter, Matt grew up surrounded by bluegrass, gospel, and mountain music before taking his talents to the road in 2000. Since 2017, he has been a member of Dale Ann Bradley’s band, performing on award-winning recordings and stages across the country. With honors including SPBGMA Dobro Performer of the Year in 2025 and 2026, Leadbetter brings a soulful and traditional sound to every performance. Symphony Stroll
Ready to take a musical stroll through Smothers Park? Join the Owensboro Symphony on October 2 from 6-8 PM for the annual Symphony Stroll, a FREE community event presented by Jagoe Homes. Take a leisurely walk along the Owensboro Riverfront while enjoying live performances from talented Owensboro Symphony musicians throughout the park. Guests can hear everything from classical selections and pop favorites to rock classics featuring music from Queen, Lady Gaga, and AC/DC. Performances will include the Symphony’s Percussion Trio, String Quartet, Harp, Brass Quintet, Woodwind Quintet, and String Ensemble with Piano & Percussion. Harvest Festival
Ready to gather for a harvest of family fun? Celebrate the season at the Harvest Festival on October 3-4 at the Daviess County Lions Fairgrounds. The festival is FREE to attend and offers a weekend filled with exciting games, delicious food, homemade treats, local vendors, and activities for the whole family. On Saturday, the festival runs from 10 AM to 6 PM, followed by a demolition derby at 6 PM, while Sunday’s festivities take place from noon to 4 PM. Guests can enjoy homegrown produce, freshly baked goodies, and learn more about local nonprofits while celebrating the season and the community.
