Sounds of Bluegrass – Timothy Baker

Head to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum on September 23 from noon to 1:00 PM for Sounds of Bluegrass featuring Timothy Baker. Growing up in Hazard, Kentucky, Baker was immersed in bluegrass and gospel music with his family and quickly became skilled in guitar, mandolin, banjo, and Dobro. After moving to Nashville, he began building a name for himself as a country artist and songwriter, including co-writing Jake Worthington’s “State You Left Me In.” In June 2026, Baker reached a major milestone when he joined Rhonda Vincent on stage at the Grand Ole Opry for the first time. Now, he’s bringing his blend of country and bluegrass influences to Owensboro for an afternoon of live music. Enjoy a full day of fascinating presentations, paranormal and cryptid investigations, local stories, live music, food trucks, vendors, and plenty of Squatch-worthy fun. Guests can also take part in a costume contest, Bigfoot-calling contest, face painting, photo ops, and a bounce house, plus catch a movie with popcorn and even meet Bigfoot himself! Pumpkin and Pickle Festival
Get ready to fall into a weekend full of pumpkins and pickles!
Bring the whole family to Owensboro on September 26–27 for two days of fall-themed food, shopping, entertainment, and family-friendly activities. From 9 AM to 5 PM both days, guests can browse local vendors, enjoy food trucks and specialty treats, snap some festive photos, and take part in activities for all ages. Pumpkins and pickles take center stage, with The Cottage serving up homemade pickled favorites like kosher dill, bread-and-butter, and hot-and-spicy pickles, along with other tasty options. Festival foods will also put a fun twist on the theme with favorites like fried pickles, pickle burgers, pickle tater tots, pickle popcorn, and pumpkin- and pickle-inspired sweets.
