Get ready for an afternoon of traditional bluegrass as Sounds of Bluegrass featuring Corinna Rose Logston, comes to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum on September 16 from noon to 1:00 PM. A Nashville-based multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, Logston is a co-founder of the award-winning neo-traditional bluegrass band High Fidelity. She has also performed alongside some of the biggest names in bluegrass and country, including Alison Krauss, Del McCoury, and Bobby Osborne. With years of experience as a touring musician, sideman, and recording artist, Logston brings her unique style and love for traditional bluegrass to the stage. What if the stories of Owensboro’s history could come to life?
Voices of Elmwood™ returns to Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery beginning September 17, bringing local history to life using captivating portrayals of settlers, soldiers, and everyone in between who helped shape the early American frontier. In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, this year’s performances focus solely on the people and events that formed our region during the nation’s developing years. Guests can climb aboard a wagon for a 75-minute journey through the cemetery, stopping along the way to hear stories about historical characters, while October 1-3 will feature a special tent show at 6:00 PM. With more than 75 volunteers helping bring the experience to life, Voices of Elmwood offers a unique way to connect with Owensboro’s history.
