Head to the Owensboro Convention Center August 28-30 for the inaugural Boundless Cards Expo, a three-day celebration of collecting, trading, and pop culture. The weekend begins with Trade Night on Friday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by the full expo on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Browse tables filled with sports cards, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, anime collectibles, memorabilia, and more while connecting with vendors and fellow hobby enthusiasts from across the region. Take flight to the Western Kentucky Botanical Garden for the Butterfly Festival, a family-friendly celebration of nature, learning, and outdoor fun from 10 AM to 2 PM on August 29. Guests can enjoy educational talks and guided tours, hands-on crafts, face painting, storytelling, and the chance to spot beautiful monarch butterflies throughout the gardens. Be sure to visit the flowers surrounding the Marjorie Hager Basket sculpture, one of the butterflies’ favorite gathering spots. When it’s time for a bite to eat, food vendors, including Top Dog Concessions, Mangkok Filipino Cuisine, The Lemon Press, Aja’Leena’s LLC, and Go Go Goodiez Ice Cream, will be on-site, serving delicious treats.
