First Weekend of Bluegrass Clash
Ready to race, rally, run, and compete?
Sports enthusiasts and spectators alike can experience a full weekend of competition during the first weekend of the Bluegrass Clash Sports Summit, taking place July 10-12 at venues throughout Owensboro. Events include the USSSA Baseball Banana Extravaganza at Jack C. Fisher Park, Owensboro Open Tennis Tournament at Merchant Centre Courts & William H “Bill” Thompson Courts, Bourbon and Bowling at Diamond Lanes South, and the Bluegrass Clash Open Disc Golf Tournament at Panther Creek Park and Yellow Creek Park. Outdoor enthusiasts can also take part in the Rudy Rumble Trail Run at Rudy Mine Trails, the Battle on the Bluegrass Taekwondo Competition, and the Bluegrass Mountain Cup Race. The excitement continues on July 11 with a FREE concert by nationally touring party band Sushi Roll, in McConnell Plaza from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. With competitions, live entertainment, and activities happening across the city, the Bluegrass Clash offers a weekend full of action for athletes and fans alike. Join the Owensboro Regional Farmers’ Market on Saturday, July 11, from 8:00 AM to noon for the annual Food + Art + Health celebration. Held at the market pavilion at the corner of Triplett Street and Parrish Avenue, this community event brings together fresh food, local art, and wellness activities in one family-friendly morning. Guests can enjoy live music from Randy Lanham and Friends, performances by Encore Musicals featuring songs from Shrek the Musical, and selections from the Owensboro Dance Theatre. Kids’ activities, community art projects, and health and wellness resources will also be available throughout the event. Overflow parking will be provided at the Owensboro Health Parrish Avenue Medical Office campus, making it easy to spend the morning exploring the market and celebrating food, art, and healthy living.
