Join Friday After 5 on the downtown Owensboro riverfront for an evening of FREE live music, local food, and family-friendly fun. The Street Fair kicks off at 5:00 PM, featuring a variety of food trucks serving everything from BBQ favorites to Mexican cuisine, ice cream, lemonade, and more, along with vendors offering handmade goods, unique gifts, and one-of-a-kind finds. Live music begins at 6:00 PM on the Overlook Stage with the Rubbing Alcoholics, followed by DJ Shay’s Dance Party and Owensboro’s very own Cam Thompson on the Main Stage at McConnell Plaza from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Rummage Sale – Forget Me Not Ministry
Looking for great deals that make an even greater impact?
On August 1, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Walnut Memorial Baptist, Forget Me Not Ministry is hosting a Rummage Sale, benefiting women who have experienced miscarriage and infant loss. Shoppers can browse a wide variety of donated items, including clothing, furniture, home décor, kitchen essentials, toys, books, baby items, tools, and much more. Every purchase and donation helps support the ministry’s mission of providing hope and encouragement to local families. Community members can also contribute by donating gently used items between July 12 and July 31, or volunteer to help sort donations before the sale or assist with cleanup afterwards. MKK’s Rugged Race

Take on the ultimate outdoor adventure at Diamond Lake Resort during the annual MentorKids Kentucky Rugged Race, an action-packed day of adventure, fitness, and community impact. Participants can choose from eight race events, including the signature 5k Rugged Race featuring 28 exciting obstacles such as water crossings, rope climbs, and mud, as well as a 5k Trail Run, 10k Trail Run, 10k Extreme Trail Run, and races for the kiddos. Every participant will receive a finisher’s medal and event t-shirt, with additional awards presented to top individual competitors and teams. Best of all, every step supports ZMentorKids Kentucky and its mission to provide life-changing mentorship for children and youth throughout the community.
