This year will be one of the biggest celebrations of the United States to date! With 2026 being the 250th year of celebrating America, Owensboro is ready to show out with the awesome festivities happening all over the city!
All-American Fourth of July
Start your 4th of July weekend on July 3rd! The All-American Fourth of July 250th Anniversary Weekend will kick off on Friday, July 3, with Friday After 5 on the downtown riverfront. The evening will start at 5:00 PM and feature live music from Cynthia & the End Times and Whiskey Row on the Main Stage and Last Call on the Overlook Stage, followed by a free drone show to cap off the night.
The celebration continues on Saturday, July 4! Guests are invited back to the riverfront for live music featuring Hall Pass and the Downtown Band. This will start at 5:00 PM! The weekend will conclude with Owensboro’s annual fireworks show lighting up the riverfront skyline. Fireworks will be launched from multiple locations across the city, including the downtown riverfront, Southern Little League fields, Owensboro Sportscenter/Moreland Park, and Owensboro Warehouse Leasing (former GE plant).
Hometown Freedom Fest: American 250 Edition
On July 3, beginning at 5:00 PM at Yellow Creek Park, celebrate Independence Day at the July 3rd Hometown Freedom Fest – America 250 Edition!
Guests can enjoy an evening filled with live music, delicious food trucks, family-friendly activities, and a spectacular fireworks show sponsored by German American Bank. Live entertainment will feature performances by Dan Hall and Blackford Creek, providing the perfect soundtrack for a summer celebration. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets and settle in for an unforgettable evening of patriotic fun!
4th Fest 2026 Presented by Kentucky Legend
On July 4th, the Owensboro Convention Center is hosting the 4th Fest!
Starting at 6:00 PM and continuing through 9:00 PM, guests can enjoy a variety of free activities open to the public for kids of all ages, including the Patriotic Power Challenge Obstacle Course, Basketball Challenge, Inflatable Axe Throwing, Bouncer Maze, and much more! Guests can also purchase tickets to experience the Owensboro Riverfront during the All-American Fourth of July celebration and receive unlimited access to all inflatables and attractions inside the exhibit hall through 9:00 PM.
