Southeast Regional Folk Alliance is the southeastern regional chapter of Folk Alliance International, and they’ll be in Owensboro May 28–31. Their mission is to create opportunities for members to connect locally while advancing the broader goals of the folk and roots music community. The conference brings together folk and bluegrass artists, industry professionals, and music lovers from across the Southeast and beyond for several days of networking, collaboration, and live music.
The Southeast Regional Folk Alliance conference will be held at the Owensboro Convention Center.
One of the highlights of the conference is the official showcase, where an independent jury selected 16 artists from a pool of 137 applicants. These performances offer a unique opportunity for the local community to discover emerging talent and experience a wide range of folk traditions from across the Southeast. The Official Showcases with public admission available for $10 at the door (cash only) will be held at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
You can also attend The Pre-Folk Ramble at Brasher’s Little Nashville on Wednesday, May 27, from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM! The ramble will include a fantastic night showcasing the incredible talent in this region and giving fans a unique opportunity to hear superb folk music coming in from states away!
