The Miller House (301 E 5th St, Owensboro, KY 42303)
Built in 1905, the Miller House stands as one of Owensboro’s most beautiful pieces of history and one of its most haunted. Locals say the spirit of a young girl still lingers within its walls, often seen or heard playing with a ball along the staircase.
The Turley Building (101 Daviess Street, Owensboro, KY 42303)
The Turley building, located at the corner of 2nd and Daviess streets, formerly housed the International Bluegrass Music Museum. The Turley Building was built in 1873, and it is rumored to have ghosts and unexplained occurrences. A shadow figure and temperature drops have been reported at the site.
Elmwood Cemetery (1300 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, KY 42303)
This beautiful cemetery is quiet and calm during the daytime, but once night falls, that’s a different story. It’s been reported that the ghost of Rainey Bethea, the last person to be publicly executed in the entire United States by hanging, haunts “Potter’s Field” at Elmwood, where Bethea is buried at an unmarked grave.
The RiverPark Center (101 Daviess St, Owensboro, KY 42303)
Back in 1927, a woman jumped from the catwalk into the Ohio River, and some say she never left. Locals claim to see a woman in white, soaked and silent, walking the catwalk before disappearing into the water. Dare to look for her?
