Top 3 Things to do in Owensboro This Weekend: September 5-7

Billy Strings and Bryan Sutton

Two-time Grammy Award winner for Best Bluegrass Album is making his way to Owensboro!

The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum is thrilled to present Billy Strings, known for his intense songwriting and stellar, fast flat-picking guitar style! On September 5 and 6, Billy Strings will be in Owensboro performing with Bryan Sutton and Royal Masat!

Bluegrass In The Boro Block Party

Billy Strings may be sold out, but the bluegrass fun keeps going!

Head to downtown Second Street from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM on September 5 for the Bluegrass In The Boro Block Party, a celebration packed with live bluegrass performances, exclusive artists, delicious food trucks, and refreshing drinks. Even without a Billy Strings ticket, you can still be part of the excitement and experience the spirit of bluegrass in the heart of Owensboro!

Special Olympics Softball

Let’s give a big Owensboro welcome to the Special Olympics Kentucky State Softball Tournament!

From September 5–7, more than 65 teams from across Kentucky will take the field at Jack C. Fisher Park. Athletes will showcase their talent in both the State Championship Tournament and the exciting Team Skills Competition. Come out, cheer them on, and be part of a weekend filled with competition, celebration, and community spirit!
