No Billy Strings Tickets? No Problem!

Unfortunately, tickets for Billy Strings have sold out, but his return to Owensboro is still something to celebrate! No need to hang your head low when the Fam Jam Street Dance is happening right down the street from the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum on September 5th! What makes this Fam Jam Street Dance special is that they are throwing a Billy Strings Block Party!

What you can expect at this block party is bands like:

Mama Said String Band (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM)

Mama Said String Band is a Louisville, Kentucky based 4 piece bringing their own brand of bluegrass with a focus on vocal harmonies and contemporary instrumentation.

Mash Grass (6:30 PM to 7:30 PM)

This band is a 5-piece Kentucky string band with all the fixins:  Mack Logsdon, Corey Lacefield, Ronnie Callahan, Terri Powell, Jimmy Smith

The Lowland Ramblers (8:00 PM to 11:00 PM)

The Lowland Ramblers are a four-man band, fusing their traditional bluegrass roots with modern sounds. They are determined to carve out their space in the state’s robust musical heritage.

This is different from a regular Fam Jam Street Dance because this whole day is centered around Bluegrass, Newgrass, and Jamgrass specifically! You may even hear covers of Billy Strings at the block party! You can also expect the usual food trucks, street chalk, and extremely energetic vibe! If you missed out on Billy Strings, don’t worry, downtown Owensboro has you covered!
