July 4th Downtown/Yellow Creek

There’s no shortage of fun happening this 4th of July, especially in downtown Owensboro! Head to the Owensboro Convention Center for a variety of free kids’ activities that are fun for all ages, including a rock wall, axe throwing, Extreme Chaos, and much more. Want the best view of the fireworks? Grab a spot along the riverfront and watch the sky light up! Or, if you’re looking for a more comfortable experience, indoor and priority seating is available at the Convention Center, just make sure to grab your tickets in advance!

But the Firework Fun starts the day before at Yellow Creek Park on July 3!

Activities kick-off at 5 p.m. with the fireworks show around 8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and arrive early to find a good seat near the fishing lake. Admission and parking are FREE.

Andy Brasher Music is performing live with production from The Eric Group.

Kids activities include pony rides and a petting zoo from Equestrian Enterprises Incorporated.

Wild Child Inflatables will offer at least a dozen inflatables with additional games. Wristbands are $10 each, or three for $25.
