The Hemmings Great Race presented by Coker Tire is a nine-day classic car rally that spans more than 2,300 miles and features 120 of the world’s finest antique automobiles. The event features 17 city stops, starting in St. Paul, MN on Saturday, June 21, and ending in Irmo, South Carolina on Sunday, June 29th.
The annual event takes a different route each year, and this time it’s bringing something special to our town. This year, the racers will make an overnight stop right on Veterans Boulevard. It’s a great chance for our community to meet the participants and get an up-close look at the cars for several hours! The racers will arrive around 4:30 PM and stay till around 8:00 PM on June 24.
This event will also hold lots of family fun, including food trucks and live outdoor music at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum. There will also be a bar available for those who would like to grab a drink!
