Owensboro transforms into a powerhouse of sports tourism with one of the most exciting weekends our city has ever seen! Visit Owensboro is proud to host over 53 championship-level high school baseball and softball games as part of the Kentucky 2A Championships and Kentucky All A State Championships—bringing top-tier student-athletes from across the state.
But that’s not all. The American Junior Golf Association tees off with 350+ rounds of elite golf from the nation’s most promising young players. Add in over 40 GMAC Conference Championship tennis matches, and you’ve got an unforgettable weekend where competition meets community.
This isn’t just about sports—it’s about impact. With hundreds of athletes, coaches, and fans filling local hotels, restaurants, and shops, this weekend puts Owensboro in the spotlight and showcases how tourism drives real economic results.
Owensboro, get ready—because the games are on, and the future is bright.
