Hear Beethoven and More at Owensboro Symphony Concert

We’ve got an incredible show coming up for fans of classical music, so here’s what you need to know!

The Owensboro Symphony is paying homage to some of the greatest classical musicians of our time as they present “Beethoven. Brahms. Haydn. Hooten.” on January 25.

This will be an unforgettable evening for fans of the famous genre as the show kicks off with Beethoven’s powerful Egmont Overture, which chronicles the 16th century story of Count Egmont of the Netherlands fighting for human freedom against Spanish Oppression. The song speaks to Beethoven’s commitment to democracy, freedom and the battle against tyranny.

The show will then continue with one of the world’s most renowned classical trumpet players, Thomas Hooten, performing Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. Hooten is a rockstar on the trumpet, and is currently the Principal Trumpet of the Los Angeles Philharmonic!

The Owensboro Symphony will then perform Haydn’s captivating Symphony No. 88, followed by Brahms’ Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn.

This is going to be an absolutely amazing show at the RiverPark Center, and the Owensboro Symphony is one of the best in the country! Tickets to see “Beethoven. Brahms. Haydn. Hooten.” are $48 and the show begins at 7 p.m.
