Pumpkin & Pickle Fest
Two days of pumpkins and pickles!? Say less. This weekend’s Pumpkin & Pickle Festival will be held October 19 and 20 at The Cottage Farm Stand where you can celebrate all things harvest and, of course, tons of pickle-flavored treats as well (including beer!). You’ll also find delicious Mac-n-cheese boats, Italian Ice, lots of sweet treats, tons of shopping vendors and live music from some super talented artists from all over the midwest and south! There will also be plenty of fall, farm activities for the whole family to enjoy, including a corn maze and pumpkin patch. The Pumpkin & Pickle Fest will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. both days.
The Issacs in Concert at Bluegrass Hall of Fame
A very cool experience is coming to Owensboro as The Isaacs take the stage at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on October 17. The Isaacs: A Tribute to The Grand Ole Opry celebrates this group’s origin story, which goes back decades. In fact, The Isaacs first began playing on the Grand Ole Opry stage 30 years ago. To this day, they are frequent guests on the weekly show. This award-winning group has spent 50 years creating undeniable family harmonies and a distinct sound that’s made them a favorite across audiences all over the globe. Just last spring, the group toured with Reba McEntire, and they’re currently writing a brand new album! Tickets to see The Isaacs are $45 and the show begins at 7 p.m.
A Visit to Brew Bridge
You’ve gotta check out Owensboro’s hometown brewery when you’re visiting, and Brew Bridge has tons of exciting events (and new beers) as we enter the fall spooky season! They’ve got the place decked out in Halloween decor, and they even have a Nightmare On 2nd & Elm Spooky Disco and Horror Movie Trivia Night coming up as well. While the weather is pretty much perfect, grab a beer and sit outside in their outdoor biergarten. Check out their amazing menu for some delicious gourmet burgers, appetizers and desserts while you’re at it! Brew Bridge is open Tuesday-Sunday and you can check out their menu right here!
