Top 3 Things to Do in Owensboro This Weekend: September 20-22

Mariachi Night at WKBG       

It’s all about the margaritas and mariachi this weekend at Western Kentucky Botanical Garden! You can head over to one of the prettiest place in Kentucky on Thursday, September 19 for WKBG’s Mariachi Night, a fiesta filled with tacos, pinatas, food trucks, dancers and a live mariachi band to give you an authentic, Mexican-themed fiesta. Kids 12 and under get in free and are welcome to join their parents for this event, which costs $10/adult. Bring your lawn chairs and stay awhile as there will be a cash bar onsite and Mexican food trucks serving all your favorite dishes. Mariachi Night will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Groovin’ On The Green    

You can take the night off and kick back to some amazing live music this weekend at Groovin’ On The Green, held at the Owensboro Convention Center on September 21. This outdoor event will feature live performances from three different artists–The Michael Gough Group; Unlimited Show Band; and Maestro J & Friends. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to this FREE concert, and come hungry because there will be food trucks and vendors available onsite! Kids can enjoy arts and crafts as well. Groovin’ On The Green is presented by the Northwest Neighborhood Alliance and will be held from 5-10 p.m. 

Pups In The Park     

Pups In The Park will feature a dock diving competition, American Kennel Club (AKC) events, trainer demonstrations, animal rescue organizations, a microchip clinic, splash pad, temporary dog park, food trucks, vendors, and kids’ activities!
