Owensboro Comic & Toy Con
You can score two days of comic books, collector’s toys, anime, video games, cosplay and celebrity meet-and-greets and Owensboro’s Comic & Toy Convention! Held for two days on October 5 and 6 at the Owensboro Convention Center, you’ll find tons of vendors to shop from and plenty of actors, voice actors, wrestlers and comic creators to grab photos with and meet face to face! Tickets to the Owensboro Comic & Toy Convention start at $30 for a single-day ticket. But you can buy a weekend pass for $45 and a VIP weekend pass for $60. Don’t forget to dress up as your favorite character and have a blast at this family-friendly event.
Green River Distilling Tour
Explore 28 acres of bourbon whiskey production, barrel storage and AMAZING history by booking a tour at Green River Distilling Co. Named one of the top five bourbon tours in the state of Kentucky, this hour-long experience will teach you the ins and outs of the bourbon industry and take you on a journey through Green River’s intense and fascinating history as one of the longest-running distilleries in America. You can even taste some of the bourbon produced at this facility at the end! Tours are held Tuesday-Saturday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (except for Saturdays). The cost is $20 per person.
Pumpkin Spice Lattes
It’s the time of year to ditch your normal coffee order for something with a little more zest because it’s officially pumpkin spice season! And Owensboro has a ton of adorable coffee shops offering this fall-inspired beverage. Some of the local coffee shops that offer pumpkin spice lattes (both hot and cold) include Niko’s Bakery & Cafe, Red Swing Coffee, The Creme Coffee House, Kahawa Java, Libertalia Coffee and Bagels, The Spot Coffee and Finery, The Overflow Cafe and Gramps Coffee & Donuts.
