We are officially in the season of hayrides, pumpkin spice and all things fall! And with the season change comes a lot of exciting, fall-themed events. So we’re here to break down a list of some of the amazing fall fun you and your entire family can enjoy in the upcoming month!
Reid’s Orchard and the team that puts on Porch Fest are coming together to bring you the Orchard Music Fest on September 28. This festival will include multiple performers across different stages, food truck and shopping vendors, fun activities for kids and more! Head over to the orchard from 2-10 p.m.
The 2024 Fall Market at Hayden Farms is coming back this year with all the food and shopping vendors you could ask for! Pick out some pumpkins and grab some sweets while you’re there! The Fall Market will be held on September 22 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Pumpkins AND pickles?! Sign us up! Celebrate all things harvest and, of course, pickle-flavored at the Pumpkin & Pickle Festival at The Cottage Farm Stand & Baking Co. on October 19 and 20. There will be tons of food, shopping vendors, pumpkins to pick and pickle-flavored everything! The event will be held from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Get into the Halloween season with a Halloween Hullaballoo at Yellow Creek Park! This inaugural event will include trick-or-treating, a costume contest, a pumpkin patch, campfire s’mores, arts and crafts, a petting zoo and more! The event will conclude with a viewing of Hotel Transylvania on the big screen. Head to the Jim Lambert Pioneer Village on October 25 from 5-8 p.m.
PBR (Professional Bull Riders) is coming back to Owensboro fall a fall-themed bull riding event! Bulls and Ghouls will be held at the Owensboro Sportscenter on October 26 at 7 p.m.
The Owensboro Symphony’s 59th season will open with a bang this year with Symphony Spooktacular, where you’ll hear songs such as Night on Bald Mountain, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Psycho Suite and Brahms’ Symphony No. 1. The show will be held on October 26 from 7-9 p.m.
Travel to different drink stations throughout a large corn maze at Wine Your Way Out, held at Trunnell’s Farm Market September 28 and October 4. This maze will feature wine, bourbon, appetizers and more! End the night with s’mores and live entertainment.
Over 100 vendors and a delicious restaurant buffet will be available onsite at The Fall Market! Held at Preservation Station, shop for antique, unique, boutique and handcrafted items on September 21 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and September 22 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
