Emergency Services Gala: Masquerade

We’re celebrating our hometown heroes this weekend with the 9th Annual Emergency Services Gala at the Owensboro Convention Center. Held on August 31, this event honors the men and women who work in first response and emergency services, keeping our city and county safe and protected. This year’s theme is “Masquerade,” so bring your masks and come dressed to impress! The doors open at 6 p.m. and last call will be at midnight. There will also be plenty of dancing, dining and door prizes!

Hall of Fame Weekend

Experience a full weekend of amazing bluegrass music at the Bluegrass Museum’s Hall of Fame Homecoming Weekend! Held for two days on August 30 and 31, you’ll get two nights of music from some legendary artists. On Friday, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, Doyle Lawson and Paul Williams will treat you to a night of gospel. And the fun continues into Saturday with performances from Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers–an IBMA Album of the Year winner.
