Alrighty, Bluegrass music fans–it’s your time to shine!
That’s because the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum is hosting its Hall of Fame Homecoming Weekend on August 30 and 31, bringing you two incredible nights of live music from some of the best in the business.
On Friday, August 30, you’ll get a night of gospel classics from Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers, Doyle Lawson and Paul Williams. This is such a treat for fans of the genre as you’ll get hear from three different artists at the price of one!
And the fun continues into Saturday as you’ll be presented with a lineup of Bluegrass Favorites from Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers. This band is amazing, and they were named Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2019!
A little background for those who may not know–Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers have delivered chart-topping hits and energetic performances for 15 years. Since 2013, they’ve become regulars on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage. In fact, their last album, For The Record, was a Top 4 Billboard hit and remained on the charts for 13 months, producing several Top 10 singles.
Even more, Joe Mullins & The Radio Ramblers host the Industrial Strength Bluegrass Festival, recently named IBMA’s Event of the Year. Could this band be any cooler?!
In fact, yes they can. Along with everything else, Joe Mullins is an award-winning radio broadcaster who can be heard daily across the planet via Real Roots Radio. He also produced the IBMA’s Album of the Year, Industrial Strength Bluegrass. What. A. Legend.
Doyle Lawson is one of the ultimate legends of bluegrass music, having won multiple IBMAs and a National Heritage Fellowship. The Tennessee native first gained prominence as a member of the Kentucky Mountain Boys and, later, the Country Gentlemen, before forming Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
Paul Williams, meanwhile, has had an extensive career that includes a lineup of bluegrass and gospel music, amazing vocals and some serious skills on the mandolin. He’s been honored by the IBMA and was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
