We LOVE when new restaurants open up in town and, this time, we’re extra excited because one of the most popular food trucks in Owensboro is taking things to the next level with a brand new brick and mortar location, and a second food truck!
That’s right–J’s Good Grub has expanded its business to include a new spot at Windridge Country Club. Important to know–you do NOT need a membership of any kind to eat here! Open to the public, J’s offer a dine-in experience for fans of southern comfort and soul food. This is a casual restaurant with a chill atmosphere, so you can come as you are when dining here.
Aside from famous fried chicken, shrimp, burgers and french fries doused in cajun seasoning, ranch and buffalo sauce, J’s also offers barbecue, fried fish, deviled egg potato salad, cheese grits, mac and cheese, collard greens, seafood alfredo, Louisiana Seafood Po’ Boys, crawfish, oysters, catfish, tacos and more at this new spot!
J’s is open Wednesday-Friday from 5-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. at Windridge. Not only will you get an incredible meal, but J’s includes fun, themed events to make the experience even more exciting! Windridge Country Club is located at 5044 Miller’s Mill Road, and you can call ahead at 270-684-4324 to check on specials, opening hours and special events happening at that location.
The Locker Room–where you can order your food online and pick up your order onsite, will be located at 224C Carlton Drive. Owner Jay Johnson said The Locker Room, along with his second food truck, will be opening soon! At The Locker Room, customers can order through the Where’s That Food Truck (WTF) app and park in a numbered spot while a member of J’s Good Grub delivers your meal directly to your vehicle.
