Check Out These Disc Golf Courses in Owensboro!

Today, we’re gonna talk a little disc golf, and where you can find places to play all across Owensboro/Daviess County.

If you didn’t already know, Owensboro is actually ranked in the Top 5 places for disc golf in the state of Kentucky. A huge reason for that is quality, because our city and county has AMAZING parks and recreation centers. But the other reason is quantity, as Owensboro has four different places to play!

Just an FYI, among the four courses, three of them have 18 holes or more.

So where can you play? First up is Yellow Creek Park. This 18-hole course is located on the east side of town and has concrete tees, plenty of sun and shade, and ChainStar targets. This course is widely recognized for being well-maintained and providing gorgeous, scenic views. There are even some pond and creek shots!

Next up, we have a fun urban course located right in the heart of the city! The course at Kentucky Wesleyan College runs through the entire campus. This is a course of mostly short, open holes with a few longer ones sprinkled in. This is a great spot for new players and quicker rounds. This course has 18 holes, mix tees, and DGA Mach 2 targets.

And on the west end of Daviess County is the Panther Creek Park course! This course also has 18 holes and concrete tees. This course provides a good mix of trees and open field with a little elevation thrown in. There’s also a good mix of long and technical shots. They’ve even got maps available to help guide your way!

You can also play a round of disc golf at Brantley Farms, a beautiful layout set on a private home course. You just reach out to the owner beforehand, and you’re good to go! There are two tee pad locations (both short and long) and nine baskets. The course provides a mix of Axiom Lite, Chainstar Lite, Patriot, DISCatcher and Sport targets. You can contact owner Chad Brantley at 270-929-8197.
