Ole 60 At Friday After 5
We’re taking Friday After 5 to the front lawn of the Owensboro Convention Center this weekend! On Friday, June 14, head to downtown Owensboro to see up-and-coming band Ole 60 perform an amazing live show. Ole 60 has been promoting and sharing songs that make up their debut EP, three twenty four, and describes their sound as “not your father’s country band.” This free show is part of Ole 60’s 2024 “Return to Our Roots” season, and the event has already garnered the interest of hundreds of people on social media. Oh, and did we mention that this band is made up of Hawesville natives? Pretty cool! Ole 60 will perform from 8:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m.
OMGcon!
This is a convention for everyone who loves gaming, anime, cosplay and general fandom! OMGcon! Is returning to the Owensboro Convention Center for a weekend of fun and excitement, bringing people together from all over the country to party, hang out and play. There will be some amazing voice actors, artists, writers, cosplay guests and content creators there, and you can find a full list of who will be attending right here! OMGcon! Putt Putt Pub Crawl
We’re bringin’ you a night of putt-putt golf in the heart of downtown Owensboro! On June 15, get ready for a wild day of mini golf pub-hopping as you sink putts, sip drinks and sample food with your friends. Participating businesses will construct fun and creative putt-putt holes with a shotgun start at Lure Seafood and Grille. Prizes will be awarded to the team with the lowest score and best golf attire will be voted on by your fellow golfers. As in years past, a surprise award will be given out as well! Feel free to bring your own putter or use the ones provided for you and each hole. Teams of four can compete the holes in any order they choose, and score cards are due by 4 p.m. at Brew Bridge, where an After Party will be in full force (and winners announced!) You must be 21-and-older to participate and the cost is $20/person. You can register right here!
