Live on Second
Head to downtown Owensboro this weekend to experience Live on 2nd–a brand new event hosted by Owensboro Music Business Expo that brings together live musicians and local businesses for two days of entertainment, food and fun! Held on April 19 and 20, you can enjoy free live music as we kick off the Spring season at Willow & Pine; Kingdom Cords; Don Mario’s; Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville; Pub on 2nd; Mellow Mushroom; The Creme; and The Crown. Bring the family! Bring your friends! Grab a bite to eat and spend the weekend at our amazing downtown riverfront. Live on 2nd will be held from 6-10 p.m. both nights.
Touch-A-Truck
This is a free event for children of all ages! Touch-A-Truck is all about learning the ins and outs of trucks, equipment and vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Held at Panther Creek Park on Saturday, April 20, kids will be allowed to climb aboard, take pictures and ask questions in a safe environment as they explore a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment. They’ll also get to meet the people who protect and serve our community! The event will also have free inflatables, food vendors, a petting zoo and mobile library. How cool is that?! Touch-A-Truck will be held from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
Owensboro Symphony Concert
Our wonderful Owensboro Symphony will conclude its 58th season with the Crown Jewel of performances. Take a trip across the pond and enjoy the music of English composers Elgar, Vaughn Williams, Walton and more! Singers Deanna Breiwick and Dashon Burton will join the Owensboro Symphony and a magnificent chorus in a stirring performance of Ralph Vaughn Williams’ plea for peace–Dona Nobis Pacem. Get tickets right here for $45. The Crown Jewel will be held at RiverPark Center on April 20 at 7 p.m.
