Easter Egg Hunt at Yellow Creek Park    

A brand new Easter Egg Hunt is happening at Owensboro’s gorgeous Yellow Creek Park, and we’ve got all the info about it right here! This is gonna be a HUGE Easter Egg Hunt, with more than 8,000 eggs stuffed with candy and prizes. And, yep, there will be a few golden eggs in there as well. You can enjoy a photo booth with the Easter Bunny at no cost, crafts and games for the entire family, vendors, food trucks and inflatables at this incredible event. So head over to the Jim Lambert Pioneer Village at Yellow Creek Park on March 30 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Age divisions for the Egg Hunt are as follows: 11:45 a.m. – Ages 1 to 5. 12:30 p.m. – Ages 6 to 9. 1:15 p.m. – Ages 10 to 12. 

Jerry Garcia Exhibit: Opening Weekend     

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is taking place this weekend! The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum is celebrating its brand new Jerry Garcia exhibit all weekend long with live music from Leftover Salmon, Sam Grisman Project and a ton of special appearances from some of the top artists in the bluegrass industry. Each day will be filled with all things Jerry Garcia, from panel discussions about his pre-Grateful Dead career, the way bluegrass music shaped his iconic musical style, and the legacy Garcia left for future musicians and fans. You can honor the musician at this amazing event March 28-30. Owensboro is going all out for the opening weekend of Jerry Garcia: A Bluegrass Journey with a lineup of Jerry-themed events happening all around the city! Head to an After Party at Lure Seafood and Grille on Thursday, March 28 featuring music from DJ Prof G starting at 10 p.m. And the next afternoon, grab a delicious Wavy Gravy brunch at Lure and enjoy live music from C.P. Trio from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29. Head over to Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville Friday night at 6 p.m. for live music from Lucas Tex, followed by Galactic Foghorn at 9:30 and an After Party featuring live music from Fat Box at 10 p.m. And on Saturday, Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville will have live music from Justin Biltonen at 6 p.m., followed by Andy Brasher Band at 9:30 and another After Party at Lure with music from DJ Prof G at 10 p.m.
