Great American Bluegrass Jam  

The Great American Bluegrass Jam is taking over downtown Owensboro for a weekend of live music, bluegrass history and good old fashioned banjo pickin’. The event will feature the Kentucky Fried Pickin’ Hotel Jam, the Kentucky State Fiddle Championships, excursions to both Green River Distilling Company and the Bill Monroe Homeplace in Rosine, KY and much more in collaboration with downtown businesses. Shamrock Bash      

The luck of the Irish is back this year at the Owensboro Convention Center! The Shamrock Bash is a 21-and-over event featuring all things St. Patrick’s Day, including live music, tasty food and plenty of drinks. The Celtic band Scythian is taking the stage to play roots music from Celtic, Eastern Europe and Appalachia with thunderous energy and powerful storytelling and songwriting. This band provides a true Irish experience for everyone! Concessions and a full bar will be available, including the celebratory green beer. You may even find a pot o’ gold while you’re there! General Admission tickets are $20 and the event will be held from 8-midnight on March 15. 

St. Patrick’s Day at Grand Stables  

The Grand Stables are going all out for St. Patrick’s Day this year with a celebratory party filled with live music, food and nonstop fun! Get ready to sing, dance and revel in the Irish spirit with music from The Crashers and DJ Up Vibe. Enjoy a cash bar and food trucks onsite as well. This 21-and-over event will be held on March 16 from 6:30-11:30 p.m. Don’t forget to wear green and bring your friends!
