Presidents’ Day Volleyball Tournament   

We’ve got a huge volleyball tournament coming up this weekend at the Owensboro Convention Center! The Presidents’ Day Volleyball Tournament will be held February 17 and 18 for two days of competitive action. This tournament is being hosted by Fernando Morales, owner of the Evansville United Volleyball Club and silver medalist at the 2008 Olympic Qualifiers for volleyball. We’re expecting to see more than 70 teams from five different states compete at this tournament, so be sure to check it out if you’re in the area! 

Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville      

Head to downtown Owensboro for some live music and drinks this week at Brasher’s Lil’ Nashville. Brasher’s is hosting a Valentine’s Day event on February 14, where you’ll get three special Valentine’s Day performances from Mitchell Douglas, Tony Henning and Andy Brasher, who will take turns singing and sharing stories on stage. Charcuterie boards will be available for purchase as well! You can also enjoy an Open Mic Night on Thursday, February 15 from 6-9 p.m., followed by karaoke at 9 p.m. 

Tour at Green River Distilling Co.   

Voted one of the best bourbon tours in the state of Kentucky, a Green River Distilling Company distillery tour is something everyone should experience at least once. With 28 acres of bourbon whiskey production, barrel storage and over a century of amazing history, you’ll get to experience all the ins and outs of our world-class bourbon distillery. From grain unloading to barrel dumping, to tasting a few of Green RIver’s very own products, you’ll get to see and taste it all! Tours are $20 per person and are available Tuesday-Saturday at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
