Kentucky 2A Basketball Championship
The Kentucky 2A State Championships for boys’ and girls’ basketball will be held at the Owensboro Sportscenter this weekend. This tournament is bringing the best 2A teams from across the entire state to our city for three days of competitive play. This is a great chance to see teams from outside our region play, so head on over to the Sportscenter if you’re a fan of high school basketball! The Kentucky 2A Championships run January 12-14 and tickets go on sale January 8.
Owensboro Lip Sync Battle
Owensboro’s favorite event of the year is goin’ down at the Owensboro Convention Center this weekend! The Owensboro Lip Sync Battle is a fundraiser for Puzzle Pieces, and it brings hundreds of people out to support an amazing cause. You’ll get to see who will be crowned the winner, and there will even be an after-party! After the battles wrap and the trophies are awarded, Blue Line Entertainment will be bringing the music. You can watch the Owensboro Lip Sync Battle on January 13. Tickets for general admission are $30.
