Multicultural Fest
We’re celebrating the Owensboro Multicultural Festival’s 25th Anniversary this year in a big way! Held on August 19 on the front lawn of First Presbyterian Church, the Multicultural Fest will feature more than 40 exhibit booths representing different countries, cultures and community organizations from all over the world. You can taste food from places you’ve never been and enjoy live performances from musicians, dancers and more! The festival will be held from 10 a.m..-4 p.m.
Bluegrass Legends Car Show
Your entire family can enjoy a weekend full of awesome vehicles, live music and tons of food vendors at the Bluegrass Legends Car Show! Held at Moreland Park and the Owensboro Sportscenter August 18-20, this festival is built for those who appreciate custom and vintage vehicles of all types. The event kicks off Friday at Owensboro’s award-winning outdoor music fest, Friday After 5, then continues Saturday with a multi-style vehicle car show, live music, food trucks and a beer garden! You can also peruse a variety of motorcycle displays and check out a “Swap Meet” area! This event is FREE to attend and you can click here to see the full schedule of events.
Steve Earle
Head to the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on August 19 to see Grammy-winner Steve Earle for a live show! Earle is one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of all time, so this is a show you won’t wanna miss. His songs have been recorded by legends such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Joan Baez, Emmylou Harris and The Pretenders. Tickets to see Steve Earle are $42 and the show starts at 7 p.m.
