Bourbon and Blues
We’ve got the best of both worlds coming for you this weekend with Owensboro’s Bourbon and Blues Car Experience! Held August 11-13, you can enjoy hundreds of street rods, muscle cars and vintage automobiles from around the southeastern U.S. Friday After 5 will kick off the event on Aug. 11 as Netherlands-based blues/rock band JVT Band takes the stage, while Saturday Aug. 12 will feature a car show at Green River Distilling Co from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., complete with live music, food and distillery tours. Hops on the Ohio
One of the best beer festivals in Kentucky is happening this weekend! Hops on the Ohio is a four-hour tour through a variety of Kentucky breweries and an exploration of the country’s favorite brands. You can score delicious food and enjoy live music all day long at the Owensboro Convention Center with hundreds of other beer enthusiasts. From hoppy IPAs to smooth stouts, there’s a beer for everyone at this fest. You can get tickets right here for $45 and Hops on the Ohio will be held on August 12 from 1-5 p.m.
Taylor Swift Dance Party
The Eras Tour is in full swing this summer, and real Swifties know there’s always a reason to celebrate the pop star’s decorated musical career. That’s why the RiverPark Center is hosting a Taylor Swift Laser Dance Party on August 11! This party will give those who did and didn’t score tickets to Taylor’s tour the chance to “Shake It Off” all night anyway. The event will include a pre-show party at 5 p.m. with a photo booth, DJ and Taylor Swift-themed cocktails. You’ll sing and dance to all your favorite Taylor Swift songs and you can even wear an outfit from your favorite era! Tickets can be purchased right here for $30.
