Daviess County Fair
You can spend the whole week at the Daviess County Lions Club Fair this week! Held July 14-22 in Philpot, this county fair is full of delicious food and tons of fun for people of all ages. They’ll have everything from Monster Truck Shows to carnival rides to vender booths and petting zoos and pony rides, and PLENTY more in between. Click here to see a full schedule for the fair. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children 5-12 years of age. Kids five and under get in free.
Owensboro Artifact Show
The Owensboro Convention Center is bringing back a super cool event this year! If you’re into Native American artifacts and history, the Owensboro Artifact Show is the perfect place to view and purchase all types of amazing relics. Artifacts from all over the country will be on display, with items ranging from coins and knives to fossils and jewelry. The show will be held on July 21 from 2-8 p.m. and July 22 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission is $20 on July 21 and free on July 22.
Gene Watson
We’ve got one of the greatest country singers in history playing a live show for you this weekend! Gene Watson will take the stage at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum on July 22 for a night of pure country music magic. Watson’s been making music for over 60 years and he can still hit the same keys he nailed 30 years ago. With 75 charted singles and 23 Top-10 hits to his name, Watson’s one of his industry’s greats, and you won’t want to miss him. Tickets start at $42 and the show starts at 7 p.m.
