Our friends at Hayden Farms are hosting an event this weekend for those seeking a fun shopping spree in a beautiful country setting! The Hayden Farms & Friends Pop-Up Shop will feature a selection of local beef along with crafts and other specialty goods handmade by eight small businesses in the area. You can grab dinner, plants and more at this family-friendly event, which will be held on Friday, June 30 from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Hayden Farms is located at 1195 New Cut Road in Whitesville.
Kid’s Carnival
In the heart of downtown Owensboro, you can spend the evening treating your kiddos to a Kid’s Carnival! RiverPark Center is hosting a carnival-themed night that’s gonna be jam-packed with awesome stuff to keep the kiddos entertained, including carnival games, face-painting, balloon art and free interactive performances. Held on June 30 from 6-11 p.m., you can play games for $1 apiece or buy an unlimited armband for $15 that includes free popcorn and soda!
Daylilies at Western KY Botanical Garden
One of nature’s best showoffs of the year can be enjoyed in all its splendor this weekend at Western Kentucky Botanical Garden! The daylilies are in full bloom and are a marvel to experience as you take in the sight of thousands of multi-colored flowers spread throughout the 12-acre facility. You can even have the experts dig up your own daylilies to take home for only $15 per plant. The best part is, these flowers pop up year after year, so your garden will be full of vibrancy for seasons to come. A Golden Hour of Daylilies Festival will be held on July 8, but you can stop in before then to see these gorgeous flowers in all their glory.
