Cool Off at These Amazing Spray Parks in Owensboro

It’s officially summer, which means it’s time to talk about all the spray parks we offer here!

Owensboro has several spray parks located across our city and county that are free to the public. So if you need a good, affordable place to take the kids on those hot summer days, we’ve got you covered (and cooled off).

Smothers Park offers a huge, award-winning playground (Lazy Dayz) for the kids, as well as a splash pad and spray park! The spray park is open through Labor Day weekend from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and has space for dozens of kids to play at a time!

Horse Fork Creek Park offers a pretty large spray park and is free fun for kids of all ages! It features tons of water features, including a giant bucket of water that hangs above and spills over onto the ground when filled. Horse Fork Creek Park also includes an all-inclusive playground for children of all abilities. You can visit the park and playground from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

At Legion Park, located right in the center of the city, you can spend the entire day at the playground and spray park! Featuring a zero-depth spray ground where kids can interact through cascading and spraying waters, this park is open through Labor Day weekend each day from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.

You can also enjoy a high-quality spray park at Kendall-Perkins Park (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) in the city, as well as at Yellow Creek Park and Panther Creek Park (9 a.m.-7 p.m.).
