Visit Owensboro for World’s Largest Geocaching Event

The largest Geocaching event in the world is about to kick off, and this year’s GeoWoodstock is right here in Owensboro!

GeoWoodstock is a massive, annual geocaching event held each year in a different place across North America. Owensboro is expected to see more than 3,000 visitors attend this large-scale event, held May 22-28.

While the main geocaching event will be held on May 27, Visit Owensboro has teamed up with our tourism partners to bring you an entire week of fun, family-friendly activities that will keep you busy for days on end.

Head on over to Brew Bridge on Tuesday, May 23 for a night of ax-throwing, escape rooms, vintage arcade games and some awesome locally-brewed beer. On Wednesday, May 24, you can spend the day at Daviess County’s historic Reid’s Orchard for a day of amazing food, live animals and an entire play area for the kids.

On Thursday, head on over to one of the prettiest places in Owensboro for a “Venti Cinco de Mayo” event at Western Kentucky Botanical Garden for food trucks, fresh margaritas, cold beer and fun, festive photo opps.

And Friday will really start to kick things off with Friday After 5, an award-winning outdoor music festival held in downtown Owensboro.
