Owensboro has one of only four ice-skating rinks in the state of Kentucky, which makes it the perfect place for a large-scale ice-skating competition this spring. The Edge Ice Center will hold the 10th Annual Living on the Edge ISI Invitational Team Competition March 24-26.
This competition will include a huge variety of ice-skating events, so it’s a great opportunity to see competitive ice-skating up close and personal. There will be solo events for preschool and tots, while stroking and freestyle competitions will be open to skaters along with rhythmic, theme spotlight, couples spotlight, ensemble team and jump and spin events.
If that isn’t cool enough, there will also be hockey-style competitions available to those who want to show their finesse with a stick and puck. Hockey shooting, hockey skating and hockey goalie competitions will determine who has the best shooting, speed and style on the ice.
The Edge Ice Center will be open to those who want to watch these events. With stands to sit in and a full concession stand onsite, there will be plenty of seating and warm food to keep you comfortable over the weekend.
