It’s time to get excited because Owensboro has a brand new car show coming to you this August! And it’s going to be massive and packed with fun.
The Bluegrass Legends Experience will be held at Moreland Park and the Owensboro Sportscenter on August 19 and 20, 2023.
Whether you enter your vehicle in the show or are simply a fan of car shows, this large-scale event has a TON of things to do during this two-day festival. You’ll get to experience a wide variety of cars, trucks and more displayed throughout the park along with an action-packed weekend of fun.
Some of the weekend festivities will include musical performances in the park, an indoor exposition and vendor show, a large food truck rally, a swap meet, and a beer garden.
The experience will actually kick off a day earlier on Friday, Aug. 18 at Friday After 5! You’ll find custom cars displayed across the waterfront with a special musical guest on the Ruoff Party Pier. On Saturday, you can try food from over 30 different food trucks and even take your vehicle out to Windy Hollow Speedway for a test run on the dragstrip from 6-11 p.m. under the WDRA sanctioning body.
Sunday will include an open-air church service at 10 a.m. at Moreland Park, followed by the car show awards ceremony at 1 p.m. with over 200 prizes. National Evangelist Alan Brock with Road Riders for Jesus International Ministry will be there.
