Panther Creek Park Fireworks      

Dubbed “The Unofficial End of Summer,” the Independence Bank Fireworks Festival is the perfect way to kick off the Fall season in style! Located at Panther Creek Park on September 3, you can bring the whole family out to enjoy food trucks and inflatables starting at 5 p.m., followed by live music from 6-8:15 p.m. The fireworks will hit the sky at 8:15. Attendees should bring their own chairs to this event.

Sunflower Experience       

Trunnell’s Farm Market is bringing back a fan favorite in the form of millions of beautiful sunflowers and multiple chances to see, pick and smell them throughout the month of September. You can enjoy Trunnell’s Sunflower Experience from September 1-30 (excluding Tuesdays). With over 65 varieties planted, you’ll have a blast choosing the perfect one to take home with you. You can also spend the day enjoying the 30-plus attractions Trunnell’s has available! 

Live on the Banks     

Downtown Owensboro’s live music scene will continue to impress with this weekend’s Live on the Banks. Featuring Blackford Creek at the Overlook Stage and Tom Small at the Allen Street Gazebo, you can spend one of the final nights of summer strolling along our downtown riverwalk and listening to amazing local talent. Live on the Banks is free to the public and runs from 7-9 p.m.
