Eastbridge Art Festival

The Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph are hosting the Eastbridge Art Festival at Maple Mount on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8 and 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  This two-day festival showcases more than 70 unique artists. Explore local art of all kinds from pottery and paintings to jewelry and photography.  Family activities, live music, food trucks and souvenir vendors will also be available to make this a weekend full of fun surrounded by the beauty of Maple Mount! Joe Ford Nature Trail Family Jamboree

Enjoy good music in nature at the Family Jamboree on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Joe Ford Nature Trail.  This is a free event for the family, complete with face painting, balloons, popcorn along with music from the Community Band and others.  This will be a fun filled day as a come and go event– stay all day and picnic or drop in and say “hi”!  Donations will be accepted.  Soft drinks and water will be sold along with items in the museum gift shop.  Fun! UCW Wrestling presents A Tribute Fit for a King

Wrestling Legend and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler is set to return to the Owensboro Sportscenter on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the UCW A Tribute Fit for A King.  Lawler will be featured in a meet and greet event to honor his legendary career in professional wrestling.  UFC Hall of Famer and former WWE star “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” Ken Shamrock will also be meeting fans during the meet and greet.  Former WCW/NWO star Marcus “Buff” Bagwell will be wrestling Live during the main show that follows the Fan Fest and meet and greet.  Tickets range from $10 to $50.  Click here for more info.
