The Grind Session World Championships
The Owensboro Sportscenter hosts The Grind Session World Championships from Thursday, March 8 to Sunday, March 11. Organizers say The Grind Session is the first-ever winter circuit of elite high school basketball events. This tournament will be full of future NBA all-stars and D1 athletes.
Many of the 200 players competing in this tournament are nationally ranked and already have major Division I college scholarship offers. Some of the most recognizable names and faces you’ll see in Owensboro this weekend are Charles Bassey, ESPN’s number three ranked player in the class of 2019, Kyree Walker, ESPN’s number six ranked player in the class of 2020, and Luguentz Dort, ESPN 5-star player and Arizona State signee.
