Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 9am:  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast at the H.L. Neblett Community Center with a hot breakfast, prayers, musical selections and quotes from King’s speeches.  Keynote speaker: Deacon John D. Herring of Memorial Baptist Church in Evansville.  Cost is $6.50 in advance.  Tickets will be available at the Neblett Center.

Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 3PM:  NAACP Commemorative Program at Settle Memorial United Methodist Church-Shepherd Center with Rev. John Lee of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Bowling Green delivering the keynote address.  The event’s theme is “Only Justice Makes Sense”.

Monday, January 15, 2018 at 9am:  MLK March from Daviess County High School to the Owensboro Community & Technical College Humanities Building and Blandford Hall.  Gathering begins at 8am.  

Monday, January 15, 2018 at 10am:  The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration “Voices for Equity” at OCTC Blandford Hall, with Benjamin Long delivering keynote address.

Monday, January 15, 2018 at 6:30pm:  MLK Community Service Award Program at Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Owensboro with Bro. Geno Merriweather of Evansville speaking.  A free community outreach chili supper will begin at 5:30pm.
