History Served Up! is a new fundraising series at the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. Patrons will enjoy a delectable meal of pulled pork, corn bread, baked beans, coleslaw, bread pudding and drinks. “History” will be served up as regional actor McCellus Mays shares the story of Harry Green, Daviess County’s first commercial barbecue chef. Charlene Blay & 2nd Edition will round out the evening with music and dancing. Ticket holders will automatically be entered into a drawing for a local history-themed “Explore Owensboro” quilt created by Pam Bivens and silent auction items will be offered.
Tickets can be purchased at OMSH or by calling the museum at 270-687-2732. Patrons can also purchase additional quilt-drawing tickets for $5 by calling the museum.
