Special Needs EXPO 2020 Letter Flyer OLThe Building Bridges Expo is an opportunity for community agencies to collaborate in providing information about resources and services that will assist families in supporting a loved one with a disability. The Expo will include non-profit organizations dedicated to serving the special needs community, as well as state and private agencies that offer resources in the following areas: Advocacy & Support, Early Childhood, Education, Futures Planning, Health, Service providers, Sports & recreation, Transition, and Waivers. There is no charge to attend the Expo.
We are excited to have a celebrity guest for this year’s Expo, Sean McElwee, cast member for the Emmy Winning A&E television show Born This Way. Sean will give a speech “It Can Happen” and host a Fashion Show with models wearing T-shirts designed with his own funny sayings and uplifting messages. His motto is “Grin and Wear It.” We are looking for models of all ages and abilities to participate. Models will choose a design to fit their personality and purchase the shirt at a discounted rate of $15. Shirt selections can be viewed at www.seanese.com. If you are interested, email Cindy Huston by July 26.
We are working closely with the Owensboro Convention Center to ensure a safe environment for all. Exhibit halls will be set up with 12-foot wide aisles and ingress of attendees will be closely monitored.
