The 3rd Region High School Boys/Girls Basketball Tournament tips off on Monday, February 25 at 6:00 PM at the historic Owensboro Sportscenter. Game time Monday, 2/25 thru Thursday, 2/28 is 6:00 PM with Friday, 3/1 and Saturday, 3/2 will be 6:30 PM. Boys semi-finals are Friday evening and boys championship game on Sunday, 3/3 at 3:00 PM. Girls semi-finals are Saturday, 3/2 at 6:30 PM with girls championship game on Tuesday, 3/5 at 7:00 PM. Check the Owensboro Sportscenter website calendar for game times. Students are encouraged to come out and show their school spirit for the Perfect 10 Foods Battle of the Fans during the Boys and Girls first round games February 25-28 for a chance to win $1,000 for their school! Judging will be conducted on overall theme, loudness, and sportsmanship. The winner will be awarded at the Girls Championship game on Tuesday, March 5.
High school students attending the Boys Semi-Final Game on Friday, March 1st have an opportunity to sign up to participate in the Aleris $50,000 Series Shot during half time of the first game.
