Owensboro will be the cornhole capital of America from Tuesday to July 29.

The Ohio-based American Cornhole Organization is bringing its World Championships of Cornhole XII to the Owensboro Convention Center those days.

USTA 55-over tennis event set to begin

This is the theme for the 2017 Kentucky United States Tennis Association 55-and-over Championships, which will be hosted by Centre Court Friday through Sunday in Owensboro.

"This is an impactful event to the community," said Mark Calitri, president of fhe Owensboro-Daviess County Convention & Visitors Bureau. "The economic impact of this event is $200,000 for our community, so it's certainly very important from this standpoint.
