Top 3 Things to Do in Owensboro This Weekend: January 6-8

ACO Cornhole Tournament        

Ahead of the American Cornhole Organization’s World Championships this summer, the ACO Owensboro Major will hold its Pro Series Tour January 6 and 7 at the Owensboro Convention Center. This tournament will bring some of the best cornhole players in the Midwest together for two days of competitive play. There will be separate competitions for seniors, women, juniors, coed teams, world doubles pool play and world singles pool play. The competition kicks off at 9 a.m. 

Greatest Showman Interactive Experience    

If you’re looking for something unique and fun to do this weekend, head over to the RiverPark Center for The Greatest Showman Interactive Film Experience. Not only will you get to watch the movie on a big screen, but the RPC Shadow Cast Crew will perform alongside the film in Cannon Hall! You’ll receive a goodie bag upon arrival to use throughout the film to enhance the experience, and you can dress up as your favorite character. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. on January 6 and tickets are $12.

Tour at Science & History Museum           

 While you’re in Owensboro, be sure to make time for a visit to the Owensboro Museum of Science and History, housed within an historic 19th- and early 20th-century building in downtown Owensboro. Admission is only $5/person and the museum includes one temporary exhibit and seven permanent exhibit galleries.
