Here in Kentucky, the last thing we’re able to predict is the weather. But we do know that it can get cold around here during winter. But that shouldn’t stop you from having fun!
It’s easy to just hunker down and stay home when the days are short and the skies are gray, but Owensboro has a TON of indoor activities for you to enjoy during these winter months.
We’re breaking down a list of some of the most unique ways to stay warm–and have fun–while in Owensboro:
We’ve got three museums in downtown Owensboro that make for great indoor experiences. The Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Owensboro Museum of Science and History and the Owensboro Museum of Fine Art.
Escape Today is a gem in our city, and they currently have three different escape rooms to choose from! Never tried an escape room before? This is the best place for your first experience. They also have an indoor arcade room featuring over 50 different games!
While it’s tough to get a good outdoor game going in this weather, Par 3 Indoor Golf is the perfect chance to practice your swing in the off-season. You can golf individually or in groups and have a beer or two while you’re at it!
Owensboro has three different places to bowl, and each one of them is top-notch! If you want a little something extra, check out Southern Lanes on East 14th Street, where you can ride bumper cars, play laser tag and arcade games, and sip on some adult beverages as well.
This indoor trampoline park has over 50 different trampolines where you can bounce wall-to-wall!
And while you’re trying to warm up against the frosty winds out there, be sure to grab a coffee at one of our many local coffee shops! Each of these is super cool in its own way, but some that top our list are: The Creme Coffee House, The Spot Coffee and Finery, Niko’s Bakery & Cafe, Gramps Coffee & Donuts, Libertalia Coffee Co., Red Swing Coffee and Kahawa Java.
